Found Poetry - The Giver
Colors
By Kate Friberg
A glimpse of green, a flash of brilliant color.(13,97)
Astonishing arrays of colors and hues.(13,102)
Bringing blue from flat skies, sunshine to a cloudy day.(13,106)
Feathery, magical colors, swirling in a torrent of the rainbow. (12,89)
The wonderful warmth, and the passage of time.(11,86)
Soft folds of a magnificent cloth cover the Earth, blanketing it all
in color.(10,79)
Suspense, thick with printed words, and pages. No color.(9,67)
A silver of the beyond, the gone. Hushed, barely a whisper.(8,64)
If only one could touch it, dazed with wild thoughts.(7,57)
A rosy look, a breath of laughter, soft light.(7,53)
Energy, merriment, lightness, not long or heavy. (6,47)
Then the colors all slip away briefly, grasping back. Colors disappear.(5,38)
Sharp designs, laughter, pure happiness.(3,32)
Pale and developed, seeing only true brightness.(3,27)
Leisure, luxury, giggles and laughs. Different shades and remarkable
mysteries.(3,24)
Easy going, bright but simple. Confident colors, freedom maturity and
grace.(4,26)
Some colors are born to bounce, change, or play peekaboo, working your
eyes and mind.(2,18)
Apprehensive, wiggling and impatient. (1,5)
They're all feelings that are simple or complex.(1,7)
All rhythmic and bright, feelings diving, swooping, taking off in the
mind.(1,2+3)
